Ocean Park with Ella

Shannon and I heading out for a big adventure with Ella.

Ocean Park entertainment park. It has pandas and aquariums and stuff for kids.

Shannon's life long dream come true! Seeing pandas in the flesh!

Too bad they are lazy and just lay there being boring.

Ella was bored with the pandas

Taking the cable car from one side of the park to another

On the way out of the park. It was time for a cold one!

Auntie Shannon comes to visit

Shannon finally arrived Saturday after being delayed 24 hours by Typhoon Nuri.

Sunday afternoon we met up with Gill for dim sum.

Suds came and met us after he finished work.

Ella in one of her outfits from Auntie Shannon

Monday night we met up with Andrew and Simon for some drinks at Staunton's in Soho.

Drinks ended up leading to dinner and more drinks at Sahara.

Suds was inspired to give us a belly dance show!

Ella has left the building.

9:30 was as long as Ella could stand so we headed home for sleep.

I think I look scary here but Shannon likes this pic:)

This is one of the few pictures Shannon gave approval for me to post:)

At the end of the night, walking home from Sahara.

Hong Kong is the red star

Typhoon Nuri is heading to Hong Kong for a direct hit!

UPDATED PICTURE. DIRECT HIT ON HONG KONG!

Normally this is simply inconvenient but this time it's a real pain in the ass.
Shannon's flight from San Fransisco was delayed for 24 hours because of the storm and she is on the hook for a night in a hotel. Plus she losses a day here on an already short trip!
At least she gets to shop for a day in Rice a Roni land:)

Hurry up and get here, Shannon! Ella wants to meet her Auntie!

Blast from the Past

OMG!! Look at how HUGE I was!!!

Suds just downloaded the pictures from his phone and I discovered these beauties.

This is taken from IFC looking across to Kowloon.

This is a picture from the walk that started it all.

Just a few days before labour began we took a long walk in the afternoon.

Once the other girls heard I went into labour after a long walk, they all started going for walks. It worked for everyone!

B777

Goodbye Boeing 747, as Second Officer
Hello to Boeing 777, as First Officer!!!

My first flight is to Singapore later in the month for an overnight, then back to Hong Kong then Taipei, Taiwan the next day.

The GE90 engines are massive.
The two on the 777 produce the same
thrust as four engines on the 747,
230 000 pounds of thrust.

Alecs, my simulator partner, also
FO, and Dave and Mark, new joining
SO's.

The 777 is identifiable by the 6 tires on each landing gear (3 in a row seen from the side).

This is the aircraft of the future for Cathay, they have ordered 30 brand new 777's!

sea horses

You just never know what you will see walking down the street here.

Cutting thru a back alleyway, we see a man sitting on the ground sorting thru a huge pile of seahorses.

I'm not sure what people buy them for. Maybe soup?
