Monkey Hill

Deep in Kowloon is Monkey Hill, where the pet Macaque monkeys let go by rich expats in the '20's have taken over.
If you even touched your backpack zipper monkeys came from every direction, ready to snatch food right out of your hands.  Ella kept calling them 'aggressive monkeys'
We walked for an hour or two around water reservoirs.

I hear The Soprano's theme music when I see this picture.....

"Woke up this mornin',
and got myself a gun....."
Along the walk were public picnic areas.  There was a huge set up going on and we learned it was Nepalese New Year that weekend.

People had lugged in huge sound systems, banners, flats of coke, cooking pots and food for 100's of people.

Anyone for raw chicken thawing in the sun?
