Mongolia Ultra Marathon

Land of the Nomads. Running in the Steppes on the edge of Siberia for a true nomadic experience.

So I'm doing this crazy thing.  I'm going to Mongolia to run an ultra marathon over a weekend in June.  I'll be doing a total of 60 km and staying in a yurt (called a ger in Mongolia).

Ella's sports day

 Ready to start with her house team, Dragons. 
The kids were divided into groups that rotating through stations like shotput, long jump, fun zone, sprints and baseball.

 All of Year 3 was involved.  It was held at a public sports ground at Tsing Yi

 Ella running I don't know how far.  I think it was 1 and a half times around the track?  Or was it 3/4?

 She came in 5th for all the girls in Year 3.  I thought that was amazing, she thought it was crap

 This was in the fun zone area where they did a relay involving throwing a rubber chicken, sack race and 3 legged race.

 Making bubbles on New Year's Day.  They put a cup out for donations

 They did get people watching and giving money!!  They made just over $1 CAD each :)
