The skyline view of Hong Kong from a Victoria harbour ferry.
The view is the north side of Hong Kong Island, starting from East to West. The Eastern half is mostly residential, then becomes mostly business half way through the vid. Looks even cooler at night with all the buildings lit up!

Land reclaimation
Hong Kong is running out of land downtown for new buildings and green space.
This is a huge section of the Central waterfront that will be filled in with land.
They get the rocks and soil by taking it from barren islands off the coast and barge it in. That is how the airport and the land under IFC was made.

ICC
Not to be confused with IFC (International Finance Centre), this is ICC (International Commerce Centre). It will be the third tallest building in the world when completed in 2010.
It is across the harbour, in Kowloon.

Christmas pics
Xmas morning with the Friesen's starts with booze:) Champagne toast!
Opening gifts took all day. I needed a nap half way thru.
Watch what you wish for....
I wanted a white Christmas and got one!
I don't remember the last time we had so much snow for so long. I think the entire time we were in town there was snow on the ground in front of Shannon's place.

Mainz, Germany
In December I tagged along with Suds to Mainz, Germany.
They have a Christmas fair we've heard a lot about so we wanted to check it out.
The main square area was filled with stalls selling food, crafts and gift ideas, as well as Glühwein, basically warm red wine.
Suds drinking his Gluhwein. It was essential to keep warm. It was very cold.
We bought our own nutcracker as a souvineer
We ate in a fab restaurant. It is a converted church, made into a restaurant and lounge. We ate here last summer, too. This Christmas tree is huge!
