Lamma Island beach day
Having a tickle on the ferry over to Lamma Island
It got up to 27 this day!
The ferry landing is decorated for Chinese New Year. Year of the Tiger, BTW
After a walk thru the village and jungle we are on the beach!!
At first the water was too cold for Ella. She chose instead to throw fistfuls of sand at the waves.
I though it would be funny to dig a big pit and bury Ella alive for a photo. Ella did not think this was funny.

Ella's big girl bed!
Last week I brought up the idea to Suds about converting Ella's crib into a bed. I felt that she was ready for one more Big Girl Challenge. My plan got vetoed big time!
What do you know, a few days later the little rascal learned how to escape from her crib. That was it. I was not going to stay awake nights worrying about her falling and breaking an arm. The side was coming off!
As you can see, Ella was quite excited!
We are on night 3 of her new bed and it is getting better. She loves her new found freedom very much!
The first morning in her new bed she woke up and got out all by herself. I discovered her in the hallway still half asleep. Nothing can match the look of amazement on her face...or mine probably!

Ella's latest news
Ella waking up from her nap. Looks like she needed a few more minutes though.....
I'd say this round goes to Ella.
Ella is such a big girl now. We have a stool for her in the kitchen so she wants to help with the dishes and cooking :)
Today was a rainy Sunday and we both have a slight cold so I had to get creative to avoid cabin fever. I built us a fort with a slide and filled it with all the pillows and stuffed animals I could find.
