A day in Zurich, Switerland

Lucky me!!  I went along with Suds on a trip to Zurich.  We landed at 6am and were on the tram into the city at 8am.  We had breakfast and wandered around before meeting up with a free walking tour.

Some doors are pretty enough to take a picture of.

Limmatquai area.
Fondue lunch in Niederdorf area.  We had a cheese fondue with bacon(!) and dipped in bread, veggies and sliced pear.  the pear was the best!

We met friends for dinner and had such a delicious Swiss meal at a restaurant called Zeughauskeller.  Suds had deer and I had a mixed sausage plate.

Thanks to a little jet lag wake-up, we were back on the train at 5:18am headed to the medieval town Rapperswil.

We walked around a castle and visited their famous rose gardens, including a rose garden for the blind where all the roses smell amazing.

At the castle was a small cemetery.  Looked how nicely the graves are kept!

Then is was back to the hotel and flying back home at noon.
