Halloween in Hong Kong

Saturday night we had our first Halloween in Hong Kong. The last 2 years I was in Vancouver to celebrate.

We signed up to be a part of the door to door giving out candy in our apartment building. We were told to expect 20 kids.
I bought an $6 imported pumpkin to carve and chocolates to hand out.
We all got dressed up, even Lexi!
The festivities were to start at 7PM. We rushed home after baseball and started to get ready. By 7:30 there were no kids and we were hungry so we made dinner. I was frantically watching the security camera channel watching for kids getting on the elevators. No kids yet.

By 8PM I was really worried. Where were the kids?

Finally at about 8:45 I see the lobby overrun with kids and all piling into the elevator!
They're coming!

I will be wearing this to school on Wednesday.
All the kids will be dressed up too!

Next thing you know, there are 20 kids and their parents at the door!

They were all amazed that WE were dressed up, too!

The parents started to take pictures of us!

Some of the kids didn't have anything to hold their candy and their hands were full.

Others just reached into the bowl and took as much as they could. It worried us cause we didn't have much candy.

After all the prep work and waiting around, it was all over in less than 5 minutes.

The pumpkin was a big hit with the kids.
