We had use of kayaks at the hotel. On the calm days it was great to paddle around our motu to some different snorkel spots. Just around the corner from us is where tour groups take snorkellers. We were there one day and saw a guide lure a monster Moray eel out of its hiding spot with fish pieces. They are fierce looking!! With needle like teeth and a long and fat body.
Our bungalow is second from the left. There was about the same number to the left, as well.
We went out for dinner to Bloody Mary's. Out front it has a big list of all the famous people that have eaten there. I expect our name to go up there, obviously!
There is no menu. You walk in and there is a big buffet of raw meat and fish. The waiter guy explains all the options to you and the three price catagories. Then you pick your poison and sit down. All come with rice, salad, ect. The floor of the place is soft white sand (there is a shoe check at the door!) and the bathroom sinks are little rock waterfalls. Pretty cool. Their special drink is the bloody mary (obviously) and they were pretty good!
This is the view from our deck. This is Mount Otemanu.
Postcard perfect sunset from the viewpoint at the hotel.
